REDLANDS, California — November 4, 2026. The first reported totals from the November 3 general election show Denise Davis ahead in Redlands City Council District 1. Districts 3 and 5 have only one named candidate each, although write-in votes are being reviewed. These are different contests and should not be combined into a single citywide vote.
Three districts, different contests
In District 1, Davis had 1,565 votes (60.47%), Doug Gonzales had 735 (28.40%), and Andrew Hoder had 285 (11.01%). Four of 17 precincts were recorded as reporting in the official snapshot.
In District 3, Mario Saucedo received 2,407 candidate votes; the report also listed 36 unresolved write-in votes. In District 5, Paul Barich received 4,003 candidate votes and 26 unresolved write-ins were listed.
Why the count is not finished
Even when precinct reporting appears high, eligible mail and provisional ballots may still be processed. In the District 1 race especially, an early lead should not be confused with an official certification. Municipal council decisions affect street maintenance, neighborhood planning and city services. Residents can see additional reports and timestamps on the county results website.
Source and count status: San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters, November 3 general election, midnight Pacific posting (Summary Report #3), available at the official county results portal. These figures are incomplete and not certified. The county expects certification by December 3.
