REDLANDS / MORONGO BASIN — October 26, 2026. The Artlands Creative is among organizations selected in the new 2026–27 Arts in California Parks funding cycle. Its REACH — Regional Eco Arts Community Hub program connects environmental arts, artist residencies and free community participation in Redlands and the Morongo Basin.
The organization describes its established Redlands program around a community garden at Sylvan Park, directly across from the University of Redlands. Its high-desert programming has involved Big Morongo Canyon Preserve in Morongo Valley and collaborating studio space in Yucca Valley. REACH provides community workshops combining art with questions about native plants, environmental change, place and stewardship.
How the new award fits the existing program
The State Parks grantee directory says the funded REACH residency aims to support 16 artists over eight months. The organization separately describes a 2026 cohort of resident artists and writers working in two Inland Empire/high-desert locations. Readers should not assume that the newly announced grant restarts, replaces or duplicates a completed spring 2026 residency: the new award concerns the October 2026–September 2027 funding cycle, and details for each phase need confirmation from organizers.
